SCOPE
OF NRCP IN MADHYA PRADESH
Under the
National River Conservation
Plan sponsored by Govt. of India cleaning and environmental up gradation of 7
rivers of Madhya Pradesh along 11 towns as per details given below, have been
initiated by Govt. of Madhya Pradesh on cost sharing basis but now the scheme is centrally funded. The cost sanctioned by Govt. of India is on the basis of
pre-feasibility report.

Based upon the sanctioned PFR the various implementing
agencies have prepared detailed project reports and these have been forwarded by the
MPPCB through State Govt. to the Deptt. Of Environment.
Out
of 76 DPRs to be proposed under this scheme 75 DPRs have been submitted to MoEF for sanction.
MoEF has accorded their sanction for 50 schemes
amounting to Rs. 2149.00 lacs. Only one DPR of STP, Indore is under preparation.
